Architecture & Design

Built by PROH Constructora, a Huatulco-based firm that works exclusively on luxury coastal homes along the Oaxacan coast, The Antidote was completed in October 2025.
They partnered with architect Jorge Herrera and interior architects Marisol Flores and Andrea Manzano, whose shared conviction was that the architecture and interiors should read as a single concept. Warm woods, natural fibers, open-plan spaces that dissolve the boundary between inside and out. The villa sits on 4,000 square feet of ocean-view land, steps from the beach, and every room was designed with the landscape in view.
The Antidote Story
In 2020 with the world at a standstill a family living in Asia found their escape on the water with a small yacht charter business. In a time of restriction being out on the water was quite literally 'the antidote'...and the vision began. The opportunity arose in 2022 to build a home in Huatulco, and the villa became The Antidote.
The Antidote is a philosophy: intentional living, a return to a slower rhythm, and the freedom that comes from being somewhere beautiful with nowhere else to be. Translating that spirit from the sea to shore.

The Result

The Antidote is four bedrooms above Tangolunda Bay, where the jungle comes right up to the glass and the Pacific sits at the end of every view. A private plunge pool on the terrace. A wellness garden with a sauna and cold plunge. A kitchen designed for the kind of mornings that stretch into afternoons.
"The name that began on the South China Sea now lives here, on the Oaxacan coast. The philosophy is the same. The address changed."
"We hope you find your own antidote here."
